We offer a variety of activities to engage in after lessons:

• dance groups and choirs – three of our groups won the right to participate in  Latvian School Youth Song and Dance Festival
• train in skiing and biathlon – our skiers and biathlonists regularly are medalists in Latvian ski and biathlon championships and in the Latvian Youth Winter Olympics
• train in basketball – our basketball teams regularly are successful in regional competitions

We actively seek opportunities for cooperation with other countries, offering the opportunity for students to gain experience abroad:

• our students have visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg and joined a discussion at Euroscola event
• students with good German language knowledge are offered to go to Kaltenkirchen (Germany) for a month to live in host family and learn in Kaltenkirchen Gymnasium
• graduates have the opportunity to win a prize of K. Dakteris, a graduate of Plavinas Gymnasium who lived in USA
